Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Corporate Travel Manager oversees and administers the corporate travel program.  They will work closely with vendors and travelers to ensure travel program supports company travel needs and enables compliance with policy.

The Corporate Travel Manager is responsible for:

 

  • Coordinating and arranging travel for all Associates

  • Weekly out of policy reports

  • Tracking all unused airline tickets

  • Managing guest travel accounts

  • Creating new employee’s travel and expense profiles

  • Training new associates on travel and expense system

  • Making sure all new hires and terminations are activated/deactivate in expense and travel site immediately

  • Monitoring Help Desk tickets for travel

  • Assisting in arranging travel and routing of new hires

  • Assisting with preparing all department reports as needed

  • Creating and update travel and expense forms as needed

  • Providing weekly budget reports

  • Maintaining relationships with travel vendors

  • Finding discounts and money saving programs as they come available

  • Managing all out of policy travel and ensuring compliance with policy

  • Helping travelers with any delays or reschedules if the travel company was not able to resolve travel issue

  • Being available for after-hours emergency calls for travel

  • Managing travel policy in conjunction with legal department

  • Helping develop training materials for expense and travel systems

  • Coordinating company events

  • All other tasks assigned as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years working as a Travel Coordinator, Travel Administrator or related position for a large

    organization

  • Experience working directly with outside vendors

  • Experience negotiating travel pricing and terms with outside vendors

  • Multi-location experienced preferred

  • Ability to multi-task, use personal judgment, utilize strong decision making, analytical and follow-up

    skills

  • Proficient with personal computers and contemporary software applications including MS Office

    Suite, Internet Explorer and corporate travel booking systems

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written), strong ability to influence and

    build rapport

  • Strong guest service orientation

  • Rapid learner with ability to grasp concepts and protocols

  • Must maintain a high attention to detail
