Job Description

UAV/Drone Pilot/Operator Needed


Requirements:

• Pilot Certificate – Sport, Recreational, Private, Commercial, ATP (include log book summary & FAA medical certificate – Third/Second/First Class) 

• Commercial drone/UAV PIC (Pilot In Command) experience with log book documenting mission date, aircraft make & model, aircraft registration “N” number, point of departure/arrival, mission remarks/procedures/maneuvers, flight conditions and duration

• Experience with both autonomous and manually controlled flight operations.

• Proficient with UAV technology – 2.4 GHz & 5.8 GHz transmitter/receiver, flight controller, telemetry sensors, FPV, multiaxis controllable gimbal, LiPo/LiFe batteries, ESC, motors, etc.

• Knowledge of repairing/upgrading UAV components including cameras and other sensors

• Ability to travel up to 30% of time

• Associate’s degree or higher


Responsibilities:

• Plan missions, submit required NOTAMs and prepare UAV and sensors

• Coordinate with survey crews to set up ground control points

• Create and execute mission checklists

• Fly missions and ensure proper collection of sensor data

• Adhere to high level of safety and all FAA mandates


Logistics:

• Must be able to operate out of the Greater Houston Metro Area

• Must have own transportation

• Will work on a contract basis

• Additional compensation paid if flying own FAA registered and Section 333 exempted UAV


Beneficial skills:

• Able to work with clients

• Able to present results to clients

• Able to write process documentation

• Experience with GIS tools (ESRI, AutoCAD Civil3D, etc.)

• Radio controlled aircraft operation experience under an AMA license
