Job Description

The ideal prospect will have a proven track record of leading and growing companies. Must be a self-starter, proactive, and have a consensus-building management style. This leader is hands- on and involved with the staff but gives autonomy for decision-making and personal growth. The leader will have overall responsibility for the strategic direction and operational management of the business. This person will be charged with full P&L responsibility, company performance, product, production, and execution of the strategy to maximize market opportunities, grow customer satisfaction, and increase market share.

An executive with experience developing and launching new products is highly valued. Success running a consumer branded product company or company division is also highly relevant.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate and implement strategic plans designed to creatively grow sales, develop new streams of revenue and new products, and achieve a high standard of operational excellence;

• Demonstrate positive leadership and performance-oriented management, and enhance the existing culture;

• Develop and execute plans to build sales. Develop new markets both domestically and internationally, establish new partnerships, and leverage new product lines;

• Full P&L responsibility with a day to day focus on the financial operations, and unwavering commitment to profitable financial performance. This will include monthly, quarterly and annual revenue, expense, and cash flow targets as defined;

• Cost control and management of annual and quarterly budgeting processes  

• Recruitment, development, and retention of an outstanding team;

• Development, production, and successful introductions of high quality, high margin, and highly creative products;

• Representing the company within the business community and with the business news media;

• Restoring fast growth in accordance with the company culture and values.


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred. An equivalent combination of academic and/or operational experience may be considered;

• At least 4 years experience as a CEO, GM, or VP with experience in marketing/sales or operations management in a consumer product, software, or related industry is required;

• Experience with start-up and/or growing businesses is preferred;

• Demonstrated track record of financial, operational, leadership, and growth success;

• Proven leadership success in recruiting in developing staff and in developing relationships.

• Experience managing an R&D product pipeline from concept, through the development funnel to launch

• Proven ability to develop strategic alliances and complete deals with strategic partners
