Job Description

  • Perform routine custodial duties.
  • Maintain appropriate level of paper and janitorial supplies. Prepare and submit supply order requests.
  • Provide building security during times of heavy patient traffic.
  • Receive packages and deliver to appropriate person/location.

  • Escort outside contractors to appropriate areas to perform services (i.e. BGE, Verizon, trash removal, medical waste pickup, work crews for building repairs) and confirm work completion, if appropriate.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years prior experience working as a Custodian, Janitor, Cleaner, or Day Porter in a healthcare environment.
  • Ability to pass both a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check required.
  • Must be a team player and be able to work with little supervision.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and work ethic to get daily job tasks done on time each day.
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds, climb several flights of stairs, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (periodic long work days and weekends).
  • Ability to work with the public, with a culturally diverse population.
  • Possess a valid Driver’s license, preferred but not required.

Additional Information

Status:     Part-time, 20-25 hours per week

Work Schedule:      Weekdays, Monday – Friday, 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
