Inter IKEA Systems Service B.V. is the owner of the IKEA Concept and the worldwide IKEA franchisor. Our assignment is to continuously develop the IKEA Concept and to ensure its successful implementation in existing and new markets.

At IKEA Retail Architecture department our task is to design new IKEA stores worldwide. We work with a variety of projects in many different countries. From stand-alone stores in the US to stores connected to shopping centres in Russia, and stores in a city centres in Germany. The traffic situation around each store is unique and we want to make sure that the many people can reach our stores, whether they come by bike, by public transport, by car or by any other means of transport.  

Do you want to design infrastructure and parking layouts for new IKEA stores worldwide? Would you like to work in an open-minded and international environment?

We are looking for an intern/trainee for at least 6 months at our office in Helsingborg, preferably starting from the first of September 2018.

During your internship you will be a part of our traffic and parking specialist team in the IKEA Retail Architecture department. The tasks that you will support the projects with are:

• Create case studies
• Read traffic reports and propose solutions with conclusions
• Recommend infrastructure improvements
• Make parking layout sketches and detailed CAD drawings.
• Work with AutoTurn

Is this the right challenge for you?

You study in the field of traffic engineering or civil engineering. You have interest or knowledge in urban planning, infrastructure and mobility management. You are an independent person with good social skills, and you like working in an international environment. You speak and write English fluently.
