On top of that, we churn out a ton of content for social media, not to mention motion media and 3D work so cutting edge that it makes the folks in California sit up and take notice. So what happens in Älmhult definitely doesn't stay in Älmhult. It reaches practically every corner of the globe.

Right now we're looking for a Corporate Communication Manager.
Someone with the passion for business and people. Someone with experience, curiosity and strategic thinking in building client relations and employer brand. Someone who enjoys the spotlight as well as helping others convey their message. That someone who wants to make a difference by leading with Communication.

The Corporate Communication Department enables IKEA Communications in leading with communication that contributes to business results and creates motivation and a sense of belonging. In addition, the corporate communication department leads and secure internal communication and media relations at IKEA Communications.

As a Corporate Communication Manager you are accountable for setting the main goals and objectives in the Corporate Communication business plan, aligned with the priorities and direction of Inter IKEA Group corporate communication. You are an active partner for our leaders in leading change. I addition, you actively brand IKEA and strengthen IKEA Communications, internally and externally, as the trusted partner and employer within the communication industry.

Together with your team, you are responsible to secure the base for an effective channel landscape:

  • Part of the IKEA Communications Management Team and actively contribute to leadership and to business plan development and implementation. Accountable to lead the Corporate Communication function, which includes internal communication and media relations.
  • Lead and coach planning, co-ordination, creation and implementation of business communication. This is designed to inform, support and engage IKEA Communications co-workers and key stakeholders across IKEA; give direction on content, frequency and most effective media.
  • Responsible to enable change using strategic change management and support with effective communication.
  • Securing synergies and the common agenda with the Range & Supply Communication matrix, e.g. competence development, tools and guidelines and external communication.
  • Accountable to participate in the crisis group and assume responsibility for crisis and risk communication.

We think that you in this assignment have to be a strong leader, have strong communication and networking skills with the ability to inspire and motivate people. You find true motivation in the challenge of high volume creation and production and contributing to the long term IKEA visual identity. You embrace change, engage in development by sharing knowledge and experience.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor degree in Communication, marketing or equivalent work experience
  • Driven by working in a value based organisation and be carrier of IKEA values, supporting an open and sharing climate where our co-workers are well informed and the IKEA culture is a living reality.
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written, in English and Swedish.
  • A genuine interest in new digital media and social media
