The task of IKEA Components within IKEA is to develop and supply IKEA with customer friendly component solutions for better products – and better homes. Our task is to take the responsibility for selected components and raw-material, which means develop, purchase and supply to IKEA suppliers. IKEA Components have also the assignment to provide After Sales service of components to the end customers. Our business is global and employs 1200 people based mainly in Sweden, Slovakia and China.

In this position you will be responsible for and lead the site consisting of approximately 200 people. This site is new, located in Nantong, China, and will be ready in totality by April 2020.
 

Job Description

• As Managing Director you are legally responsible for the site, responsible to run a legal operation with the right set-up for optimal business and people development.

• You ensure that laws, regulations, accounting and financial policies and all contractual obligations are followed and you organise the company with respect here to.

• You secure internal/external audits and regulations, eg IWAY, in given time intervals

• You are responsible for the site budget that includes all operational costs and resources. 

• You lead and develop the management team consisting of diverse competencies, representing different parts of the business.

• You secure the integration and implementation of IKEA overall directions, strategies as well as IKEA Component’s business plan within the site.

• You are responsible for securing a well performing site with a high focus on continuous improvement, safety, sustainability and quality to reach customer satisfaction in the most cost efficient way.

• You are responsible for supplier’s management related to the site.

• You represent the company in public to authorities and other stakeholders/forums and also you build and maintain strong co-operation in connection with other IKEA units within the country/cluster.

• You promote and strengthen the IKEA culture and values, developing people and business together

Qualifications

We believe that you come with strong leadership experience and successful track record of leading and developing high performing teams. You have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. You have good knowledge and experience of change management. You come with thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company and strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance. You have demonstrated experience in developing long terms plans and outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferably you come with knowledge of IKEA Components business operation.
