Requirement Engineering at Range & Product Engineering is looking for a Product Requirement Specialist to support the development and verification process for IKEA Home Smart products.

Job Description

As a Product Requirement Specialist you are responsible to develop correct, clear, relevant and receiver oriented product requirements, creating pre-requisites for a safe and compliant range.
You will work closely to different product development and product engineering teams. Being the requirement specialist, you set and document the relevant legal product requirements. You need good insight into the evolving Internet of Things domain and the different technology standards and legislations related to this product domain. You will work with requirements related to both new and complex product types as well as with improvements to the running range.
In this assignment you will mainly be addressing product security and safety for connected products.

Qualifications

You have a University Degree in Engineering or similar and experience from working with product development and/or creating and documenting product requirements as well as knowledge of certification and testing at 3rd party test laboratories. You have experience from development, test or certification of products in the Internet of Things domain.
You are passionate and knowledgeable when it comes to wireless technologies or system engineering of products including computer software.
Previous experience from participation in local or international standardization activities is a bonus.
You have good communication skills and the ability to take the lead in your own work as well as in your contacts with internal and external stakeholders.
You have the ability to analyze, assess, interpret complex subjects and identify needed actions, while translating these complex issues into simple language.

The position is permanent and located in Älmhult, Sweden. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
