About the assignment
You are the interface between IT Delivery and the IKEA Expansion area. The IKEA Expansion assignment to lead one way of expanding to capture the potential in all existing and new IKEA markets with a menu of digital and physical customer meeting points. To succeed with this it is crucial to secure strong and mutually respected relations with the IKEA franchisees.

As IT Service Owner you are end to end accountable for all aspects of operational delivery of the IT services within Inter IKEA Systems Digital & IT organization to support the expansion agenda, mainly into new markets for IKEA. You are a key partner in the establishment process of new countries and stores working closely with the different retailers and their IT managers on critical questions and topics. You will also lead and coordinate large implementation projects across our assignments.

Day to day, you would do this and more:

  • Secure fit for purpose architecture and design for the IT service area in cooperation with architects and IT infrastructure. 
  • Ensure that IT services roadmaps for the expansion and establishment are implemented and aligned with other interdependent roadmaps within IKEA. 
  • Plan, communicate and follow-up on IT service related activities, as deployment execution, monitoring and activities within availability and capacity management. 
  • Continuously improve the services and delivery by securing and developing the right competence in place for projects, running service, for solutions within the area of IT Delivery.
  • Manage budget for the IT services, follow up on cost development and secure improvements in cost efficiency
  • Contribute in relevant forums connected to infrastructure service to secure operational advisory for IT services for expansion and establishment.

We also believe you will need to have a combination of the following knowledge, capabilities and motivation:

  • Identify and capture the IT part of business opportunities and deliver IT services results to enable constant development in IKEA.
  • Build trustful relationships with stakeholders, business partners and franchisees through effective collaboration and delivery of results.
  • Deep experience in IT Service delivering in global delivery assignments and with customer centric approach.
  • Knowledge of IT governance frameworks, methods, organizations, tools for delivering IT services, to align to business needs.
  • Up to date with modern technologies such as in cloud services, data sharing, digital identity, analytics, cybersecurity, connect and compute
  • Experience with cost management, supplier and contract management
  • Preferably recent experience in retail, IKEA value chain and related IT ecosystem
  • Able to fulfil IT service management tasks with high degree of IT project leadership capabilities

A few more details for you
This position is full-time (40 hours per week) and is located in Delft, the Netherlands or Malmö, Sweden and some travel will be required.
