IKEA Transport & Logistic Services is a part of IKEA Purchasing and Logistics and is responsible for the steering, coordination, and development of the Transport & Logistic solutions for IKEA. This includes creating and maintaining sustainable Transport & Logistic set-ups in close cooperation with external business partners as well as the internal stakeholders in the IKEA Supply Chain

IKEA is constantly looking to improve and build stronger solutions for the future. As part of this IKEA Food Supply AG within the Inter IKEA group, acquired the former logistic service provider Bring SCM AB in June 2017. The integration work of all Bring SCM AB roles into IKEA Range & Supply organizations has started and the full integration is expected to be finalized in December 2019.

As a Delivery Planner, you are responsible to secure product availability to our customers at the lowest total landed cost by the consolidation of orders into shipments. You shall ensure total logistical operational performance from the end-to-end perspective by planning and booking optimal transport & logistic solutions under the consideration of IKEA supply chain stakeholder preconditions.

Additionally, your focus will be to: 

  • Monitor and secure the good flow through different distribution centers
  • Planning of distribution orders between central and regional warehouses
  • Work in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders to secure on-time delivery, solve operational deviations and suggest improvement potentials for parameters and set-ups affecting delivery planning and execution and Global Working Methods.
  • Monitor shipments and in case of logistical operational deviations take necessary action and inform concerned stakeholders to secure availability for our customers. 
  • Actively contribute to the development of the Delivery Operations process, system, and Global Working Methods within the Supply Chain.
  • Optimize the filling rate of our trucks together with senders.
  • Investigate and solve claim issues.

Qualifications

We are looking for people with knowledge of logistics capabilities, order planning, capacity planning. You have the ability to take the lead to ensure planning of orders and the right priority, in order to fulfil customers’ need at the lowest possible, landed cost. We believe you have plenty of energy, curiosity to learn and dares to challenge people around you. You are an early adopter with a flexible mindset and has a willingness to work in a constantly changing international environment.

  • 2+ years working experience in planning and logistics with good knowledge in logistics, business administration or relevant background.
  • Ability to navigate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Well-organized in multiple tasks assigned within the given time frame.
  • Quick learner and good flexibility to adapt to change.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented.
  • Fluent oral English and a good communicator.

Please noted this position is based in Älmhult, Sweden  Due to the integration of Bring SCM AB into IKEA Range and Supply the presence of this position will be needed in Bring SCM, Helsingborg office, throughout the year 2019.
