Transport Area North Europe is part of IKEA Purchasing Services (Sweden) AB and is responsible for the steering, coordination, and development of IKEA transportation. This means creating and maintaining sustainable transport set-ups in close cooperation with external business partners as well as the internal actors in the IKEA Supply Chain.

Job Description

As a Transport Planner (Internship), you will work in close cooperation with your team but also our carriers and other stakeholders in the Supply Chain to find the optimal transport solution. Your main focus will be to:

  • Work with our Non Conformity Advise process (NCA). This our claim process
  • Work in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. carriers, suppliers) to solve operational deviations and search for solutions to avoid them in the future
  • Monitor & Follow-up on existing NCA’s so they get resolved within the timeframe
  • Develop the NCA process so that it can be done in the easiest and fastest way for every stakeholder involved

Qualifications

This is an internship position. We are looking for you that has a planned inter period and who are team player and have excellent communication skills and work in a structured way. You are an early adapter with a flexible mind set and has a willingness to work in a constantly changing international environment and enjoys to find new ways of working. We believe you have plenty of energy and curiosity to learn. We see that you are a person that is driven and dares to challenge people around you.
We believe that you have/are:

  • Capability of building effective and trustful relationships
  • Structured or have the capability to structure your work task
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Fluent in Swedish and English both written and verbal
  • Work permit needed

This is an internship position. Please note this position is based in Älmhult, Sweden. (No mobility support in this recruitment). We apply interviews during the process and there could be a recruitment of this position before the end date.
