IKEA Älmhult AB is a new entity within Inter IKEA Group with three main areas of assignments; Inter IKEA Group in Sweden assignments, Create and develop conditions to enable Work, Live, Visit Älmhult and Holding company for IKEA Property, IKEA Hotel & IKEA Museum.

This role is to a large part linked to our assignment to create and develop conditions linked to work, live and visit assignment. A main dependency for this is a well working infrastructure to enable accessibility to and between our main business locations, Älmhult and Malmö.

IKEA Älmhult AB is built up cautiously. We are a small team working with different areas in our assignment to explore, analyse and conclude the need going forward as the scope and assignment is developed and decided. In order to deliver to this we are prepared to take on different hats and assignments from time to time when needed and there is a great entrepreneurial spirit in what and how we do things.

Job Description

In this role you will work closely with the colleagues leading the Work, Live and Visit agendas and focus communication activities as early as possible of the opinion building and be part of inviting stakeholders to the heart of IKEA in Älmhult and share the IKEA way of working.

Job specific key tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop communication as a strategic tool for IKEA Älmhult AB
  • Lead the communication plan for Work, Live, Visit
  • Lead communication projects internally as well as externally
  • Be responsible for a stakeholder system where you set-up, maintain, measure and follow-up activities related to the public affair agenda
  • Create, develop and maintain communication deliverables such as position documents
  • Develop speeches and presentations for conferences and seminars
  • Work closely with other IKEA companies and other stakeholders to align and coordinate communication activities.
  • Actively trace media development of our core questions.
  • Analyse and advise when to take initiative
  • Contribute to stakeholder management and be part of communication activities targeting opinion builders and decision makers
  • Develop communication material in line with IKEA values and IKEA tone of voice
  • Develop new and innovative ways of working
  • Build relations, participate and contribute to relevant networks
  • The initial phase of influencing will focus on creating, develop and maintain long- and short- term conditions to strengthen Älmhult as a place to Work, Live, Visit

Qualifications

About you

  • You are an ambassador of the IKEA culture and IKEA values and
  • You understand how to segment audiences and strengthen key messages to support different audience needs and situations.
  • You are analytical, curious and communicative with a strategic view
  • You have experience of leading initiatives in corporate communication, involving media relations & public affairs and/or co-worker communication

Key factors to be successful

  • Experience from managing projects and processes needed to drive effective communications
  • Take leadership and act on opportunities
  • Knowledge of how to plan and execute strategic and tactical communication
  • Understand principles and practices for stakeholder management
  • Experience from representing business interests in external forums

This position is permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) and is located in Älmhult, Sweden.
