The Digital Area is set up to connect, enable and support all IKEA Communications Areas with IT systems and tools to create, produce and deliver communication in the smartest, most automated and cost efficient way possible. We also do digital development and innovation work in the spatial computing area for all IKEA companies.

The Development and Operations team is the part of the Digital Area and is now looking for a 3D Technical Developer. 

As a 3D Technical Developer in the DevOps team you will support the running ICOM business by delivering IT systems and tools or by developing customized solutions to enhance and  improve the user facing interaction with complex production systems

Examples of responsibilities in this role could be:

• Develop technical solutions and automation for projects in production in close working relationship with end users for the production assignments.
• Responsible developing and publishing tools in an agile way.
• Analyse together with the team on what is the smartest approach to support and solve production problems.
• Be part of developing the technical roadmap standards.
• Develop documentation for work flows and tools which are created.
• Be responsible for scheduling and briefing of external technical developers.
• Keep up with evolution of technical standards across different industries

The 3D Technical Developer we're looking for is someone who’s always on the outlook for 3D improvement and innovation. Someone with the talent of leading and developing technical requirements. That someone with innovative mind and lateral thinking, who could ensure that major changes to system are successfully delivered.

You'll need:

• 2-5 years working experience with bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science related area. 
• Experience and understanding of 3D Production Processes (for images, motion media and Real time 3D)
• Production experienced in python. 
• Knowledge in 3Ds Max, V-ray, Nuke, Photoshop and illustrator
• Knowledge of Houdini, PDG and Unity is a plus.
• Knowledge of JSON/XML, JavaScript, C#,SQL 
• Ability to analyse and brief development for outsourcing.
• Outstanding communication and relationship building skills, and collaborative mind-set. 
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
