Job Description

The Competence Areas Project Operations support projects at IKEA Communications with specialist format-independent competences leading, managing, facilitating and supporting tailor-made creative teams. We provide leadership in the different phases of ideation, creation, and development of communication. Our aim is to continuously improve and simplify the overall communication development process from end-to-end. With seamless handovers and excellence in planning and securing quality, time and cost with strong competence in project management, tools and frameworks.

We're now looking for Project Leaders with extensive experience within Marketing & Communication.

As Project Leader you will…

  • Lead and manage projects in the scope and debrief development with Assignment Leader to secure that the brief includes the right information about the problem that the communication is supposed to solve.
  • Lead multiple projects, overall responsible for the on-time, on-brief (quality), on-budget delivery of the project, while ensuring a smart and lean approach from creation to delivery.Clarify competence need and secure core team resources.
  • Consider the assignment in the larger context, ensure the project’s relevance toward strategic directions, such as safeguard the Meeting the customer strategy and other relevant IKEA Strategies.
  • Responsible for the facilitation of creative concept development, exploration and co-creation.
  • Responsible to on board the Core Team, Production Leader and Producer and secure responsibility for briefed synergy opportunities and validate that the briefed team understands the communication brief. 
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting stakeholder relationships.
  • Lead project performance/results assessment, identification of insights, document and share learnings that can be assimilated towards advancing further our competence expertise, market knowledge and end-results of future projects. 
  • Create preconditions that enables inclusion of perspectives and competencies, co-worker engagement, team spirit and togetherness.
  • Act as a role model in regards to IKEA Culture, Values and Code of conduct. 
  • Be a change driver for developing the business & people agenda by identifying and sharing possible future competence or business needs. 

Qualifications

Our Project Leaders are people who approaches communication with a strategic and holistic view and have an ability to transform insights into actions through interpretation and facilitation skills. People who lead with strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills. People who cater for cross-business collaboration and engages their team to follow through on objectives, plans and processes. People that can spark an innovative and idea driven culture that enables co-workers to explore and share ideas and reinvent communication solutions. People with the ability to make our communication relevant to end-consumer, today and tomorrow.

You’ll need:

  • Education and extensive work experience leading projects within communication, marketing or related fields.
  • Business and financial understanding and experience in budgeting.
  • Industry and market relevant knowledge within communication & marketing.
  • Experience in facilitating the development of creative concept ,exploration and co-creation.
  • Fundamental knowledge of process, resource management and project steering (PPS).
  • Experience working with complex organizational structures that involve many stakeholders.
  • Experience in risk analysis and scenario planning.
  • Experience working with change management & change communication methods and tools.
  • Experience in leading, managing and developing creative teams.
  • Understanding of user experiences (UX).
  • Experience working with a multichannel approach (foresee production of content for different channels)
  • Passionate curiosity in our customers and everyday life at home,  the needs of consumers and how it all connects to IKEA Range and products.
  • Passion for home furnishing, and about leading and developing people.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
