Job Description

InterImage is seeking a full-time Senior Java Software Engineer / Architect to join a newly formed software development team in Arlington, VA.  He/she will be responsible for software development and integration, development testing, configuration management support, production support and software maintenance and transition, and program management support. The software development and integration services will provide for integration of COTS products with customized software applications, business process management (BPM), database applications, and other solutions not available in off-the-shelf modular software applications. Integration may include the integration of technical components, organizational components and documentation.
Job Responsibilities: • Provide technical support to the customer and other support groups • Troubleshoot, debug and deploy software modifications and customizations • Identify, analyze and resolve issues • Perform/participate in code reviews • Create/maintain system documentation • Perform technical analysis • Assist with preparing and/or providing technical briefings and presentations
Required Skills- • Extensive experience in the design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of software applications using Java/J2EE • Solid understanding of EJBs, JSPs, Servlets, XML, MVC, Struts, Hibernate and Spring
• In-depth knowledge of technologies for integrating with external systems including Web Services, SOAP, WSDL, REST, XML, and APIs
• Experience with Agile lifecycle methods (i.e. Scrum, Extreme, Adaptive) iterative development techniques, and test driven development • Experience working with BPM tools such as IBM BPM, Lombardi, Oracle BPM, HandySoft, Entellitrak, etc.. a plus • Working experience with front-end technologies including HTML, DHTML, CSS, JSP, and JavaScript • Demonstrated experience with various Integrated Development Environments (IDE), such as Eclipse • Understands the principles of OOD, design patterns and class structures • Strong working knowledge of relational databases including SQL, stored procedures and SQL tuning • Demonstrated working knowledge of major JEE application servers: WebSphere, JBOSS and Tomcat. • Must have a solid understanding of Unix/Linux/Windows Operating Systems • Strong interpersonal, writing and communication skills • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, while effectively managing priorities and communicating processes • Ability to work within a CMMI Level 3 Process Framework • Experience with UML

Clearance- US Citizen.  Must be able to obtain/maintain a Public Trust Clearance


Education and Years of Required Experience: Requires a Bachelor’s degree (in Engineering, Computer Science or related field) or equivalent and 8+ years of experience. Demonstrated experience in Java/J2EE based Servlets/client-side application developing, troubleshooting and supporting an enterprise application.  Java Certifications a strong plus!
