Job Description

Interlochen’s Technology department serves a wide constituency base within and outside of the institution. The help desk specialist plays a critical liaison role between the department and its customers for day-to-day technology support.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • General help desk support, both over the phone and in person, as directed.
  • Administering the departmental work order system as directed.
  • Installing, deploying, and maintaining laptop, desktop, and voice equipment.
  • Logistical and tactical support for media and audio-visual equipment.
  • Office duties as assigned.
  • User training.
  • Other technical support as assigned.

Qualifications

Applicant's should have knowledge and experience in:

  • Apple operating systems.
  • Cisco networking.
  • PBX and voicemail systems.
  • Cabling.
  • Microsoft Server and Active Directory.
  • Hardware and software repair and maintenance.
  • User training.

 

Applicant's should also have:

  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Clerical accuracy.
  • Interest in learning new skills.
