Job Description

The Media and Engagement department of Interlochen Center for the Arts is charged with implementing a set of strategic initiatives that articulate a clear commitment to creating a vibrant world-connected campus that seamlessly links the world of the arts and education with people and programs. In order to execute these strategies. Interlochen’s online brand must be actively and aggressively maintained and expanded. To this end, Interlochen is seeking a user experience (UX) designer who is experienced with Drupal -- or a Drupal developer with a user experience design background -- to work on all our web sites and initiatives.

Major Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Participate as a key team member the upgrade of our interlochen.org website from Drupal 6 to 7, both from a design and development perspective. This project is just starting.
  • Serve as a technological point person and administrator for Interlochen’s web properties.
  • Develop custom pages and modules as required to meet functional requirements not readily available from Drupal or its community.
  • Work with IT, Marketing, and our hosting vendor to ensure excellent site performance on a range of devices.

Qualifications

Candidates for this position should have expereince or knowledge in:

  • User experience design
  • Drupal 6 and 7 
  • Responsive design
