Job Description

Interlochen Center for the Arts, one of America’s most prestigious institutions for arts education, performance and fine arts is seeking to hire a Digital Marketing Specialist. This position will contribute to the overall profile of Interlochen and strengthen Interlochen’s brand through digital marketing channels. Working via digital channels, this position provides essential support to Interlochen's marketing, communication, and branding objectives.

Major responsibilities include the following:

  • Implement day-to-day digital marketing tactics, including website content updates and email marketing campaigns
  • Consult on long-term strategies for Interlochen’s digital marketing channels, including SEO, Email Marketing, Social Media sites, mobile marketing, and website management. 
  • Develop, consult on, and implement proven best practices in email, mobile and social media marketing.
  • Manage all phases of email and mobile marketing campaigns, including planning, targeting, setup, testing, execution, reporting and optimization.
  • Responsible for SEO management and website content updates
  • Build, monitor and maintain social media channels as needed.
  • Provide functional expertise, best practices and recommendations regarding the execution of digital and mobile marketing campaigns.
  • Stay current with emerging online marketing channels and make recommendations on potential to help further Interlochen’s brand and marketing objectives. 
  • The position will need to be able to synthesize feedback.
  • Position will develop a thorough understanding of Interlochen’s voice, messaging, and brand, and work to implement across digital assets and channels.
  • Collaborate with Creative Services Manager and graphic designers and translate graphic design assets into HTML email layouts, with a mobile-first philosophy.

Qualifications


  •  Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, information technology or similar program
  • A minimum of three years experience in Organic (SEO), Google Analytics, Social Media, Email Marketing, mobile marketing, and online marketing tactics
  •  Strong technology skills, including HTML, CSS, content management systems, and cross-browser/cross-platform QA testing
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of social networking sites
  • Experience with common word processing, email, spreadsheet, and other office applications
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously to completion
  • Demonstrates understanding  of web analytics
  • Working knowledge of image formats and basic Photoshop skills
