Job Description

Are you an experienced FP&A leader? Invoca is looking for our first Director of FP&A, who will be responsible for building and leading a first-rate FP&A team, while also working hands-on to deliver critical business insights to our organization. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will be joining a fun, fast paced, high-growth company and will leverage their proven FP&A experience in this newly created role. This is a critical and highly visible role, requiring an ability to develop strong working partnerships with senior business leaders, as well as developing and mentoring a team of business managers and financial analysts.  Core Responsibilities include:    

  •  Develop and direct execution of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes; monitor and communicate progress toward achievement of financial objectives; identify trends driving positive and negative variances to plan and make recommendations to leadership.
  • Direct the effectiveness and efficiency of financial planning, ensure timelines and deliverables are attained, and create and maintain tool and reporting materials used to measure and track results against expectations.
  • Lead long-range financial planning & modeling, annual bottoms-up budgeting process, and monthly reforecasting process and related modeling.
  • Lead daily, weekly, monthly KPI tracking and reporting, including the coordination and improvement of executive and functional dashboards
  • Actively partner with leadership team and business owners to provide insight, inform decision-making, and drive strategy. Complete or guide custom ad hoc analysis as requested throughout the business.
  • Identify risks and opportunities to management, recommend strategies to achieve company financial goals.
  • Implement automated planning and forecasting software application, enabling the organization to efficiently manage the consolidation of plans, while capturing key drivers underlying budgets and forecasts in order to provide a basis of comparison for reporting performance measurement.
  • Deliver actionable analysis using information from disparate sources and perspectives.
  • Support key decisions (new growth opportunities, market segmentation, infrastructure investment) by leading financial planning and business analysis team to produce financial models for recommendations to leadership team.
  • Oversee performance management activities by enabling automation of and managing KPI reporting and analysis allowing leadership team to react to exceptions or changes in trends.
  • Work with Accounting team to implement and prepare timely, actional monthly reporting and analysis of operating results 
  • Develop business analysis function, supporting operational projects and analysis in support of Sales, Marketing, Product, Development & G&A initiatives. Direct the process and development of business cases for significant investments under evaluation by the leadership team.
  • Manage and execute ad-hoc analytical requests.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA, CPA or CFA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience leading Financial Planning & Analysis teams in a corporate environment.
  • Exceptional financial modeling and scenario analysis skills, expert in defining and guiding the design of data-intensive models.
  • Deep domain knowledge in using industry-standard tools (Salesforce, Marketo, etc.), including advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills. Hands-on experience with Adaptive, Hyperion or similar financial planning and reporting solutions.
  • Knowledge of standard business intelligence software a plus
  • Ability and desire to optimize business processes and use of information systems.
  • Customer-centric; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and high level of comfort presenting analysis and information to senior management and external parties.
  • World class organizational skills, encompassing an extremely high attention to detail, a strong ownership-ethic and intense focus on accuracy and accountability.
