Job Description

We seek a Cloud Operations Engineer to join our growing distributed dev/ops team. In this hands on role you will design, manage and implement all aspects of our cloud presence in Amazon Web Services. We use entirely Linux servers to run our Ruby on Rails based application as well as our real-time telephony servers. Our product is Software as a Service so we need to always be in service using rolling upgrades.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with CTO, development, and product management to design and build a world class SaaS web and telecom infrastructure.
  • Ensure high availability and 24x7 monitoring
  • Design and implement security policies and best practices
  • Continually improve operational processes and procedures

Key Experience:

  • Linux + Open source
  • Network design across multiple data centers for high availability
  • Web services behind a load balancer
  • Security policies and auditing
  • Performance investigation and tuning
  • Telecom experience a plus


Qualifications

  • Technical college degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Linux/Open source environment
  • Red Hat Certification a plus
  • Amazon or other cloud experience
