Job Description

As the Production Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering support to Invoca’s tier 1 and tier 2 support teams. The ideal candidate enjoys helping people, has a positive attitude and a passion for problem solving. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a customer-centric orientation are necessary. Your career path in this role can lead to a software development role or to a more senior support role depending on interest and experience.

As a member of the team you will:

  • Become a domain expert in the Invoca platform, gaining an overall understanding of all major functionality.  
  • Manage ongoing tasks and customer projects using project management techniques, including estimating levels of effort and tracking time.
  • Work with the Customer Success and Development teams to troubleshoot any application problems customers experience.
  • Work directly with customer facing teams to help facilitate setting up new customers on the Invoca platform.
  • Propose, design, implement and test the Ruby on Rails tools needed to perform Production Support tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Ruby on Rails or similar high level language.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to explain simple procedures both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to work at a detailed level.
  • Desire to learn the Invoca call marketing platform.
  • Experience with SQL and web technologies desired.
  • Knowledge of the agile software development process a plus.
  • Some knowledge of telephony a plus.
