We seek a Cloud Operations Engineer to join our growing distributed dev/ops team. In this hands on role you will design, manage and implement all aspects of our cloud presence. We use entirely Linux servers to run our Ruby on Rails based application as well as our real-time telephony servers. Our product is Software as a Service so we need to always be in service using rolling upgrades

Responsibilities:

• Work with development and product management to design and build a world class SaaS web and telecom infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability and 24x7 monitoring
• Continually improve operational processes and procedures
• Automate anything and everything

Key Experience:

• Linux + Open source
• Automation (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
• Container (Docker) Experience a plus
• Web services behind a load balancer
• Performance investigation and tuning
• Telecom experience a plus

• Technical college degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Linux/Open source environment
• Amazon or other cloud experience
• Deployment automation and configuration management (Capistrano & Chef a plus)
• Advanced knowledge of firewall and networking protocols
• Experience with tools such as Sensu, Logstash, and rsyslog
• VOIP application experience a plus
