Job Description

The Training & Engagement Specialist will serve as a key member of the team and will play a significant role in providing guidance and service to Company's account management teams. This role serves as a critical point-of-contact for clients and is responsible for the successful execution of all training and related activities, including design, development, facilitation and training administration.

The Training & Engagement Specialist is also responsible for developing and maintaining activities within the Learning Management System (LMS) for clients (internal & external), ensuring certification compliance, (where appropriate), monitoring successful learning comprehension, creating and maintaining training materials and identifying additional learning opportunities. The candidate must be an experienced professional with a diverse skill set, and must process the ability to think strategically while executing tactically.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, internal stakeholders and e-Learner Developer to translate training/education goals & objectives into detailed requirements, training plans, course designs and materials.
  • Create and manage to training plans, leading day-to-day training activities and internal and external client interactions and expectations.
  • Establish & maintain a clear understanding of clients’ business in order to drive continued utilization and adoption of Company's solutions. 
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Program Managers to facilitate training & user outreach campaigns tailored to user base and solutions implemented for specific accounts.
  • Support internal onboarding and continued education initiatives.
  • Track and administer training requirements, attendance and certifications using a Learning Management System.
  • Regularly report on status and progress of training goals & objectives, updating training plans as necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, preferably within a healthcare payer organization or healthcare-focused management/strategy firm.

Working knowledge of basic payer-related data such as medical & pharmacy claims, membership, lab, authorizations, etc.

Demonstrated knowledge/subject matter proficiency in at least two of the following areas:

  • Medical & Medicaid Management
  • Network Management
  • Provider Engagement
  • Population Health
  • Employer Reporting

Demonstrated experience with curriculum and instructional design principles including Adult Learning Theory (ALT), self-paced instruction and learning design principles and evaluation methods.

Ability to apply working knowledge of the healthcare industry and associated trends in order to create relevant scenario-based interactive training sessions.

Excellent facilitation skills across a variety of training environments, including Instructor Led Training (ILT) and virtual classrooms/webinars.

Excellent writing skills with the ability to create professional learning materials, including training guides.

Solid instructional design capabilities including the ability to create online training

Travel required (approximately 50%)
