Job Description

JDM is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to deliver high impact, data driven business insights, actionable recommendations and performance metrics to help maximize growth and execution. The JDM business insight team takes on ambitious projects, leads analyses, and develops key business strategies across core areas of the organization. You’ll be responsible for building analysis frameworks we use to make decisions. The ideal candidate can balance many priorities simultaneously and is exceptionally driven.

This role requires a passion for understanding emerging customer needs and the ability to translate those insights into actionable recommendations that drive improvements in customer experience. Candidate should have a demonstrated capability of uncovering tacit customer needs, turning them into business strategy, and leading cross-functional alignment.

Leveraging strong creative and structured problem solving skills, this analyst will collaborate with business unit owners to translate data into unbiased, objective, quantitative actionable insights for effective decision-making.

Analyze and interpret analytic output and provide strategic recommendations
Analyze large-scale customer databases and evaluating results of marketing programs
Identify trends and patterns of behavior quickly and efficiently
Excellent relationship-building skills and business judgment
Assertive and collaborative, with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive results
Evaluate demographics, distribution channels and marketing outlets
Design, manage, and deliver analyses, such as customer profiling, post-program measurement, and other ad-hoc projects

Assess statistically significant changes in audience behavior

Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, mathematics, statistics, social science, quantitative methods, or related field
5+ years of Business Intelligence experience, customer/business analytics
5 years knowledge or experience working with analytics tools (SAS, Excel, Tableau, Aster or other statistical analysis tools)
Experience in behavioral analysis
Knowledge of statistical concepts (e.g., significance testing, sampling, etc.) with working knowledge of multivariate statistics (i.e., regression analysis, cluster analysis, CHAID, etc.)
Must have 2+ years SQL script writing experience
Hands-on experience in accessing (Data Mining) and manipulating data from multiple relational databases (Teradata, Oracle, MS-SQL server)
Highly proficient in Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively work with internal clients
Meticulous attention to detail
Experience in presenting to and influencing leadership
Takes a proactive role to bring about change, applying new ways to develop the business through performance analysis and process improvement recommendations.
Motivated, self-starter with excellent work ethic
Dependable with the ability to multitask and work at a fast pace
