THE ROLE - Dynamics AX  / X++ Developer

You will be working to improve the way we move goods around our warehouses, working out how much ice cream we need in Manchester on Thursday or shaving off some milliseconds on a codepath. We have many real world problems to solve and we believe smart developers can fix them.

We currently seek a full time Software Development Engineer for AX / X++ development to join our award winning Information Technology Group as the company transitions into new markets and it's next phase.

You will be working on the latest version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 / ‘6’ and rest of the Microsoft stack.

Refactoring, and Continuous Delivery are deeply embedded and we are constantly striving to improve the way we work. We regularly attend conferences and community events, both as participants and contributors and frequently retrospect on how we can improve the way we work

However, we are not perfect nor are we afraid to admit this. We recognise we have many problems which need solving and a long way to go on our journey of continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES of the Dynamics AX / X++ Developer:

Critical Service

• Engineer our AX environment to achieve the highest up time for 700 employees and 20,000 customers
• Work with IT Group to debug/troubleshoot/fine-tune AX

Build

• Work with development team to build new features, application and web services in and around the AX environment

Quality

• Continue to improve the quality of the work and system
• Understand life cycle of development and continue to reuse and improve it

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• A minimum of 1 year development experience in MorphX / X++ (AX2009 or AX2012)
• A minimum of 2 year development experience in C#
• Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 or AX2012, T-SQL, SSRS, SSAS and .net 3.5
