Job Description

Position Summary:

Jetsuite’s Business Analyst understands and helps define JetSuite’s data sources and

systems and can generate useful business reports from a variety of JetSuite systems

and applications including Salesforce, Astro (JetSuite’s operations management

software) and Google Analytics.

The role performs complex business analytics using software and various reporting

tools to analyze operational and customer data in a consistent and organized

fashion. This information will be used to make marketing and other business

decisions across all departments including marketing, sales, guest services, and

operations.

One of the many responsibilities of this role will be ownership of JetSuite’s

CRM system (currently Salesforce), and is responsible for ensuring increased

effectiveness, optimal use, and ongoing training for the sales team. The role will

also be responsible for providing upper management with valuable analysis and

reporting using Microsoft SQL, Tableau and other tools (as required) to effectively

generate reports from JetSuite’s other systems.

JetSuite’s Business Analyst has an appetite for analytics, software, business and

managing various technologies, and also a passion and understanding of JetSuite’s

customer service standards and unique operational challenges.

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintain a thorough understanding of JetSuite’s existing technologies, setbacks and goals across all departments

Be engaged in JetSuite products, culture, and customer service promise.

CRM Management Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for vision and roadmap of CRM

Design CRM solutions and form effective project plans; add value in all stages of project work (definition, development, deployment)

Analyze CRM related workflows, and suggest changes to improve the effectiveness of Sales, Guest Services and Marketing teams’ work with CRM

Act as single point of contact for inquiries from CRM users (i.e., answering “How to” questions that are specific to organization’s business processes reflected in CRM)

Analyze and resolve CRM program issues in a timely and accurate fashion as well as hold responsibility for monitoring data quality

Enhance use of CRM to capture, report on and analyze client data and trends which can be used to better target future clients and better satisfy existing clients

Lead evaluation of CRM add-ons and oversee their implementation

Maintain, configure, and manage day-to-day use of CRM

Assist with management of Marketo as it relates to CRM, troubleshooting and helping to implement new workflows as guided by the Marketing department

Reporting and Analysis Responsibilities:

Evaluate data across multiple platforms and offer meaningful analytical insight to department managers

Understand JetSuite’s databases, systems, and software development

Utilize Tableau and SQL to design and maintain various management reports

Develop management dashboards, automated reports, and report templates that monitor business metrics and enabling deeper understanding of business trends

Provide strong analysis to upper management to support business decisions

Build custom datasets using SQL for reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, or similar preferred
  • 2+ years demonstrated experience with Salesforce CRM, including each of the following:
    • Administration
    • APIs
    • App customization
    • Reporting tools / setup
    • Layouts
    • Data import and export tools
    • Clean-outs
    • Tableau Developer or similar data visualization tool
    • Demonstrated project discipline and experience
    • Understanding of Google analytics
    • Understanding of Google Adwords a plus
    • Experience with and understand of Database design
    • Understanding of data warehouse architecture and large data storage
    • Analytical aptitude with an ability to translate data into everyday language
    • Business intelligence to research and select appropriate technology-based tools to help increase sales


Knowledge & Skills

  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Service
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be fluent in SQL and must posses development, trouble-shooting and performance tuning skills
  • Salesforce Certification not required, but highly desired
  • Ability to work independently in a small office environment, solve problems and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive; consistently takes initiative and always closes the loop
  • Analytical aptitude with an ability to translate data into everyday language
