Job Description

The Distribution & Channel Sales Manager – West will be responsible for managing regional and allocated accounts, driving business relationships and working on a fast-paced, effective sales team to support Jinko Solar (US) Inc.’s monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives. The position will be part of a team focused on selling Jinko’s products to distribution, residential, small and large commercial solar (PV) markets in the Western Region of the United States and will work directly with some of the largest distributors, EPCs and solar finance companies in the US. This position will report to the Director, US Distribution & Channel Sales.


• Expands JinkoSolar’s sales network by identifying, pitching and building relationships with potential partners and/or customers in key US Western Regional markets through cold-calling, networking, attending Tradeshows, qualifying prospects and closing sales. 

• Deepens and expands relationships and business with existing partners/customers 

• Integrates information, resources, and activities within the region, participates in the formulation of the sales contract, negotiations and contract confirmation. 

• Under the guidance of the Director, US Distribution & Channel Sales, develops specific customer strategies and campaign plans, driving leadership in execution 

• Provides regular reporting to sales management, including sales activities, pipeline development, forecasting, key account status, market condition updates, competitive activity, and sales results.

• Efficiently and pro-actively manages relationships providing quotations, shepherding orders through the company process, and providing excellent post-sales service on a timely basis

• Oversees workflow of all sales processing including preparation of reports, charts, and other statistics related to Region sales

• Responsible for customer support during entire sales cycle to include, but not limited to: 

o Managing credit application process and managing account risk.

o Initiating NDA’s and managing compliance with company and customer confidentiality agreements.

o Interfacing with customer support and management for internal acceptance, approval and processing of customer orders including input into Salesforce.com. 

o Working with logistics and fulfillment team to assure smooth customer  

    experience and proper order and contract fulfillment.

• Initiates and tracks orders to completion, including payment receipt and collections assistance if needed.

• Assists with budget management to ensure expenses are within target goals and in compliance with company expense policy. 

• May handle and resolve more complex customer requests or complaints requiring interaction with other functions including technical, legal, credit, or other support functions.

• Domestic Travel as required with the occasional requirement for US customer support on plant visits in China.


Qualifications

• Previous experience in the PV industry and familiarity with the solar energy market is highly desired. Other capital equipment sales may be acceptable.  

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college desired, Minimum 2 years direct sales experience required

• Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs 

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, this is a telecommute position 

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office software and sales tools (Excel, Salesforce,.com, etc.) 

• Strong communication skills, oral, written, and presentations. 

• Strong interpersonal skills 

• Experience in a project and complex sales driven environment with international markets and cross-functional teams preferred 

• Experience negotiating and closing large capital equipment contracts 

• Experience managing relationships with distribution and channel sales, and effectively managing channel conflict

• Demonstrated record of success, with consistent increase in responsibility and duties 

• Self-starter with ability to multi-task 

• Organization and detail-orientation skills a must

• Ability to travel within the region as required
