Job Description

The US Inventory Asset Control & Logistics Manager is a hybrid role will be responsible for successful management of inventory in US warehouses, maintaining SOP with 3PL partners, and resolving logistical issues related to project deliveries. A successful person in this position will be proactive, able to work locally and globally at fast pace, and have a strong, committed work ethic. This position will have a dual reporting structure, reporting into the US General Manager in San Francisco and the Director of Logistics in Shanghai. 


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  INVENTORY ASSET CONTROL  

• Establish and manage SOPs with 3PL partners to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner 

• Ensure accuracy of inventory transfer-in and transfer-out records from 3PL warehouses 

• Manage and ensure accurate input of inventory transfer-in and transfer-out in the system 

• Maintain record of relevant PO/Bill documentation of procurement items in the system • Maintain communication and relationship with 3PL warehouses 

• Reconcile perpetual inventory in the system & 3PL warehouses inventory count reports 

• Perform quarterly/semi-annually cyclic inventory inspection and count 

• Monitor inventory turnover days and provide weekly/monthly reports to Management 

• Manage new warehouse/vendor selection and negotiate contracts as needed 

• Support Business Operations Department in streamlining communication with 3PL, ensure timely arrival of inbound shipments to meet outbound schedules, and obtain information needed for warehouse capacity planning 

• Support Customer Service Department with claims transactions that involve inventory in/out of warehouse 

• Support internal and external inventory audit 

 LOGISTICS  

• Control logistics spending and perform cost analyses for Management 

• Collaborate with Customs brokers for U.S. Customs entries and duty payments 

• Engage in direct communication and work with overseas Logistics teams for continued improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost control 

• Domestic and international travel, as required 

• Other tasks as assigned by the US General Manager or the Director of Logistics 


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• 3-5 years experiences in global/US logistics, 3PL Warehouse/Inventory management 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, logistic, or related field; Master’s degree a plus 

• Working knowledge of U.S. Customs’ and other Federal Agencies’ regulations, Incoterms and Harmonized Tariff Classifications 

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• High degree of reliability and integrity; detail oriented 

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)   

• Experience with ERP systems (ie. SAP, Netsuite, etc.) 

• Experience with QuickBooks a plus 

• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and regionally, up to 60% of the time • Written and Spoken fluency in Mandarin a plus
