Johnson Service Group is seeking a Product Manager for our client to develop and integrate optical cyber solutions to dramatically reduce complexity and enhance monitoring. Our client derives actionable information from thousands of optical signals and would like for you to join them in delivering optical cyber solutions to their global customers in Cyber Security, Defense, and Telecommunications.
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring success of the client's product line. You will lead cross-functional teams of Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Sales to formulate business plans for the product line and execute on the business goals. You will work closely with partners and alliances to complete the product vision. You will also work closely with Marketing and jointly define and deliver on go- to market product plans.
Define, identify, and assess target market segments, product, pricing, and channel strategies for the client product line; Author and present clear set of product, market, and solution requirements; author and present clear business plans.
Lead cross-functional teams (Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Operations) and partners to deliver the "right product and solution at the right time".
Work closely with Marketing and Sales to help define and execute on Go-To Market plans and in creating clear and defensible value proposition.
Assist, participate and deliver presentations at industry conferences and tradeshows and seminars.
Fully own the product demonstration and Proof of Concept testing of the client's solution
Define and deliver a compelling, relevant, and differentiated product demonstration
Ensure all accessory equipment are funded, secured, and interoperable
Cross-functionally, identify and resolve technical issues
Clearly chart progress, meet deadline for deliverables, report status
Engage directly with customers to identify customer to identify customer requirements, define Proof of Concept Plan, Line up resources, and execute on the plan
Revise demonstration to add new partner products and technologies to meet customer's business needs.
Become the subject Matter Expert for the client's product that includes Select, Extract, and Monitor stages.
Interface with Partners directly to formulate a fully functional demonstration
Interface with Partners and the client's technical resources to fully understand the capabilities of all aspects of the client's solution.
Interface with Partners to understand and drive partners product roadmap and business terms
Provide training to other personnel
Provide sales support in demonstrating the technological benefits of the client's solution
Devise a demonstration plan and execute the demos for customers, partners, prospects, locally and remotely.
Articulate value proposition
Must have 3 years of strong prior experience in technical marketing, product management, or engineering in networking systems. At least 2 years must be in Product Management
Possess strong technical and industry knowledge in networking and/or cyber security
Have STRONG understanding of TCP/IP, Application layer (VoIP, emails, Http, encryption, messaging), Optical networking, Strong familiarity with Linux and/or Windows OS
Strong ability to lead and influence others to achieve results including team members, partner companies, and executive team
Have excellent presentation skills; ability to articulate value proposition clearly and succinctly
Have excellent problem solving skills – the ability to describe the problem and solution clearly and succinctly
Good negotiation skills; experience in Reseller/distributor contracts
Ability to set priorities, multi-task as required
Strong analytical skills to systematically plan, troubleshoot, and ensure smooth operation of all demo parts
Strong understanding of the market place and target customers' needs and the desire to solve customer's problem
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, listening, and adaptability
o Answer audience questions decisively and to the point and/or follow up on the questions
B.S in EE, CS, or other technical discipline
MBA desired but not required
