Research and Development Engineer (Stress/Dynamics Analyst)


Position Description:

         Perform Structural analysis for aerospace hardware, at the component and subsystem level.

         Develop finite element models of structural components and assemblies for static and dynamic analyses.

         Perform stress analysis and margin of safety using strength of materials theory and classical methods

Position Requirements:

         Be able to perform static and dynamic analyses on Mechanical Aerospace Ground Equipment (MAGE) to determine the strength and stiffness of structures.

         Be able to use those results to determine margins of safety.

         Be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic technical environment.

         Be able to consolidate analyses into technical documentation using MS Office suite.

         Be able to communicate precisely and effectively.

         Must have at least 10 years of direct experience with NASTRAN.

         Experience with PATRAN and/or FEMAP preferred.

         Experience with Aerospace (Satellite) environments preferred.

         Bachelor’s degree in either Mechanical/Civil/Structural Engineering required, at a minimum. Master’s degree preferred.
