The HR Representative supports the Director of HR in planning and administering all human resources activities in a large distribution center.
· Recruits, interviews, tests and selects employees to fill vacant hourly positions.
· Coordinates new hire and new leader orientations.
· Conducts investigations and advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
· Writes and responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.
· Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reason behind separation.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of HR generalist experience or supervisor experience. Experience working with an hourly workforce in a fast-paced environment is required. Experience in a warehouse/distribution environment is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong follow-up and analytical skills, knowledge of employment law and the ability to be self-directed; excellent using Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel.
Ability and willingness to travel within the US as needed for new business start ups or other hiring needs. Ability/desire to relocate for advancement opportunities in the future is required.
