KingFisher Boats, North America’s leading manufacturer of all welded heavy gauge aluminum fishing boats, requires a Yard and Maintenance Assistant for our Center of Excellence in Vernon, BC.

The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting the Maintenance Department and Logistics Technician  within a fast paced team oriented manufacturing environment.  

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Wage: $13.00 to $15.00 an hour

Logistics

• Assist in assembling trailers.
• Assist in loading boats onto assigned trailers.
• Assist in loading completed boat/trailer units onto transport trucks.
• Safety Operate overhead crane as required.
• Move product into facility as required to replenish supplies.

Yard

• Performs a variety of routine physical labor tasks including pulling weeds, picking up litter, raking leaves and debris, installing fencing, replacing light bulbs, emptying trash and recycle bins and performing minor custodial work.
• Shovel snow from sidewalks and sprinkle salt on surface.
• Trim shrubbery, plant flowers, and apply pesticides.

Maintenance

• Performs preparatory work for maintenance activities, including gathering equipment, materials and supplies, loading and unloading materials, and laying out materials and equipment for projects.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on the building, systems and equipment.

• Experience in operation of forklifts and other lifting devices
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs
