As a Sr. Industrial Designer-Kitchens you will take a leadership role to create innovative concepts, products, experience, services and human interfaces through the mastery of the design process for Kitchens within the new product development community. Your understanding of the consumer in the kitchen environments will contribute to the functional and aesthetic aspects of product design. Your expertise in the design field will help mentor and guide the professional development of junior designers on the team.
In this role you will craft designs while keeping function, task flow and the consumer’s utilization of time spent in the kitchen in mind. Our design process is highly collaborative and you will work closely with Engineering and Marketing to complete multiple design projects. You will utilize a strong knowledge of materials and a refinement of the design process to coach the junior members of your team. Strong rendering skills, 2D sketching and 3D study model experience will be an important part of the process. You will be a part of the formal Design Review process which will offer direct interaction with business unit Senior and Executive Management. Career success begins with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design and a minimum of six years experience in industrial design and/or product design. Most importantly a genuine excitement and passion for design is required! This position is located in Kohler, WI.
