Job Description

KontrolFreek is seeking an experienced, hands-on Marketing Director with exceptional judgment and critical thinking skills who can plan strategically and execute tactically. This player/coach role will lead a small cross-functional marketing communication team that is responsible for public relations, social media, affiliate marketing, events, promotions, campaigns and brand/product messaging. The ideal Marketing Director candidate is a versatile, highly organized and driven self-starter with a strong grounding in foundational marketing principles and the flexibility to conceive, drive and execute scrappy, high-performance campaigns. The successful Marketing Director candidate should enjoy a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. The Marketing Director position reports to the Vice President of Marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement omni-channel marketing strategies and tactics that drive awareness and demand
  • Conceive, manage, and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, and initiatives
  • Drive messaging and marketing communication plans
  • Coordinate internal resources and manager projects to completion
  • Plan the launch of new products and campaigns with sales and product development
  • Manage the cross-functional implementation of the marketing plan
  • Create and manage product positioning and messaging
  • Communicate product value benefits to team members and business partners
  • Track, measure, analyze and report on campaign performance in an effort to make continuous improvement
  • Oversee development and creation of support material and marketing services across company
  • Plan and manage events as required
  • Maintain excellent relations with customers, partners and affiliates
  • Stay current on industry and marketing trends and opportunities
  • Monitor and provide updates on current and future market trends
  • Maintain expert knowledge of our buyers and competitors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • 5 years' experience in similar role
  • Strong leadership skills, including demonstrated experience managing teams
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated success in managing marketing and brand campaigns
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to plan strategically and manage multiple tasks and projects in parallel
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fluid, fast,-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines
  •    Strong research and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, plus the ability to quickly learn and work with the new systems and software
  • Demonstrated strong project management and organizational skills
  •  Experience with small, high growth and/or CPG companies is preferred
  • Knowledge of gaming industry or video games is preferred
