Job Description

SchoolMint is looking for a Product Manager for the SchoolMint Online Enrollment System Product.  An expert in education technology, SchoolMint’s Product Manager will perform market research, position our product within the educational marketplace, and guide product strategy, development, and releases.

SchoolMint is already live at several schools providing enrollment solutions, with plans to launch at many more!


Market Research, Analysis, & Product Strategy

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap

  • Prioritize product opportunities based on business needs and user requirements

  • Conduct competitive analysis and user research

  • Develop functional requirements, wireframes, and other documents

  • Drive continual product improvements via research, user-testing, and metric analysis

Release & Project Management

  • Work with project manager, engineering, and QA to guide features through development and bring high-quality products to market

  • Develop and review project plans, user documentation, and release notes

  • Meet with external clients and internal teams to gather feedback and incorporate suggestions


Basic Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable with presentations and proposals

  • Comfortable in a fluid and informal development environment.

  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented

  • Education / Education Technology experience

  • Prior product or project management experience

  • Able to learn and understand new technologies as needed

  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites up to 25% of the time or as necessary

Even Better:

  • Computer Science coursework

  • Knowledge of Git, Pivotal Tracker

  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Balsamiq, Sketch, or similar tools
