Job Description

As part of our strategic vision and growth plans, we are looking to hire a US VP Marketing to establish Lyst as the leading brand in the online fashion space. We are starting to build a truly global brand identity, and this is a very exciting opportunity for an ambitious, creative and focused senior marketer to take ownership and transform our marketing capability, and ensure our commercial success in the US. 

You will report to the CMO and will work with a small and agile team to develop and execute the US brand strategy, while building stronger working relationships with the team in London. You will be entrepreneurial and have a hands-on, detail-orientated approach, with the ability to take decisions quickly and the resilience to challenge/ be challenged when necessary. 

Since the US is our biggest market, with over $100m in sales coming from that market alone, you will have the opportunity to work across proven channels, test new ones and impact our global marketing strategy. You will maintain a focus on outstanding performance across a prioritised set of commercial measures, including market share, margin and brand health.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, define and implement our brand strategy in the US, focusing on improving overall awareness and purchase intent.
  • Drive a greater focus on delivering innovative and revolutionary activations to turn Lyst into a challenger brand.
  • Identify and build strategic partnerships with brands and key influencers to elevate Lyst’s brand positioning.
  • Drive innovation and idea generation internally as well as providing a source of competitor analysis and industry trends.
  • Work closely with other markets to ensure consistency and best practices are shared across the group.
  • Champion the Lyst consumer and provide relevant and compelling insights to identify new and emerging opportunities and threats for the business.
  • Implement a commercially-focused digital capability, using proven and new channels.

Qualifications

  • Ideally, you would have been classically trained in brand building in a large organisation, followed by hands-on experience building an awesome consumer brand.
  • You must have a demonstrable interest in fashion but previous experience in the industry is not essential.
  • Experience of operating across the full marketing mix, including but not limited to setting a brand vision, proposition development, customer insight, creating a community through social, influencer marketing, partnerships and delivering exciting 360 campaigns.
  • Experience of demonstrating channel ROI through proven analytics/econometrics.
  • Commercially-driven with a focus on results.
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.
  • Great communication skills.
