MET International AG (METI) was established in 2010 in order to consolidate and develop MET Group’s international natural gas sales and purchase portfolio, as well as to establish a trading arm for commodity lines. 

METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, originating additional positions on the European wholesale and the international LNG markets, as well as trading around international positions.

Job Description

As we move into a new phase of continued development and growth, METI is currently seeking a high-caliber talent to directly support the CEO.

Your role will ensure the success and impact of initiatives that drive and improve operational and commercial effectiveness. The tangible impact of your actions will be felt across the organization, you will gain exposure and insight into METI from front to back.

Your mission as the right hand of the CEO is:

  • Provide structure and priority setting in a landscape of competing requirements and changing levels of importance
  • Support organizational development initiatives
  • Conduct research and analysis related to projects, policy development and the implementation of new processes and/or tools
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and reports to a high and accurate standard
  • Contribute to and coordinate initiatives that drive business growth and continuity
  • Monitor relevant developments and market news in the energy trading industry
  • Act as an interface between the CEO and various teams for operational tasks and follow-ups and speak on his behalf when required
  • Ensure consistent and open communication with internal and external stakeholders


  • 3-5 years of experience gained within a management or strategy consulting environment at a top tier firm or a similar role in an energy trading environment
  • Knowledge of the Energy or Commodities trading industry through work experience or education
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and apply a commercial, problem solving and strategic mindset within a fast-moving environment
  • Skilled at anticipating possibility outcomes and drawing meaningful conclusions from data and events
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills with fluency in English, additional languages advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills
