Job Description

Role summary:

Design, develop, implement, improve and maintain scalable solutions in a hybrid M365 cloud.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Define / deliver / support a flexible and secure Microsoft 365 environment, follow supplier roadmaps, implement industry best practices, apply a metrics-based continuous improvement mindset – master administrative processes for Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune as well as 3rd party integrations and related access management.
  • Own endpoint management tools (e.g. SCCM, Intune) and processes: automate OS updates, create and maintain software distribution packages, fine-tine group policy configurations,
  • Monitor and optimize M365 integrations – both internal (e.g. on-premises synchronization, identity residence) and external (e.g. application registrations, permissions, lifecycle actions).
  • Analyze / report / improve key platform operational metrics, monitor systems performance, continuously optimize the M365 environment for efficiency, security, productivity, capacity, supportability, performance and availability – drive preventive and corrective actions.
  • Provide 2nd / 3rd level support for technical troubleshooting, document processes & best practices, create & maintain knowledge articles, and regularly train helpdesk staff.
  • Partner with internal / external technical teams and functional counterparts to drive continuous modernization, eliminate bottlenecks and enable business growth.
  • Contribute to policies & guidelines that govern deployment processes and enable standardized maintenance services, own general controls for the M365 Global Admin privileges.
  • Collaborate with IT security professionals to define, document, enforce, and audit overall platform security – support regular testing exercises and remediate findings.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ technical experience in the M365 platform / services, preferably in mid-size international organizations with 500+ users and a multi-country geographical spread.
  • BSc in Computer Science / IT Engineering or an equivalent industry proficiency with both practical and theoretical domain knowledge – relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus.
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft directory services (both on-premises Active Directory and Entra ID / Azure Active Directory) with demonstrated capability to learn new skills + introduce new features – expertise in configuring, managing, troubleshooting Hybrid AD environments.
  • Hands-on experience in advanced PowerShell scripting for automation / reporting.
  • Knowledge of endpoint management tools & processes (Intune / SCCM / group policies / software packaging & distribution) – experience with implementing security solutions.
  • Fluency in English
  • Practical experience with virtual teamwork, reliability, thoroughness, analytical thinking with strong problem-solving skills.
