As a Marketing Analyst at MMB, you will use data mining and reporting tools to measure the success of our clients’ marketing efforts - digital, social and CRM - and to help uncover actionable insights that will support the creation of innovative cross channel marketing and customer programs that deliver profitable, business–changing results. You must be a “hands on” analyst who knows how to mine, organize and present data to answer business questions.  Close collaboration with 1:1 team to interpret and turn data into actionable insights & recommendations.

 

Essential Functions/ What You Will be Doing:

•   Conduct analyses in support of clients’ customer and marketing program initiatives:

- Maintain and track customer KPIs such as, Retention, Value, RFM, Product and Purchase channel    (online, offline) and direct media channel engagement metrics (Email, DM, Mobile, Social, Web, online advertising)

- Marketing program results/ROI (direct mail, online advertising, mass media, email, mobile, and social media performance)

•   Assist in development of KPIs and holistic dashboards for presentations to management teams (internal and client)

•   Work with internal teams to identify opportunities for optimization of marketingcampaigns and provide recommendations to improve program performance

•   Function as agency expert on data, database and web analytics tools (e.g      

                Oracle based relational database schemas/table structures, ETL processes, Google Analytics, Omniture, Coremetrics, DART, etc)  

Typical Deliverables/Duties:

  • Conduct pre and post campaign analyses to assist in audience selection, offer, message (Subject Line) and content assignments
  • Maintain and prepare weekly, monthly reports (Site Dashboards, Cross-Campaign performance Open/Click, ROI) across key clients and track against industry and competitive set benchmarks
  • Analysis of Website behavior and online Customer Experience
  • Conduct ad hoc data mining projects and requests (RFM segmentation, migration/retention, product analysis, channel purchase and engagement) including pre documentation of approach and scope
  • Support team on preparing effective and persuasive presentations (verbal and written) for project teams and business leaders

 
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, or Marketing
  • Agency and or Marketing Service Provider experience is required (client side marketing analytics a plus)
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in digital / direct marketing, advertising, or professional services organization, conducting database marketing analysis including targeted list selections, customer and program analytics, test design, response analysis, ROI analysis, segmentation and customer profiling
  • Strong quantitative skills with attention to detail and accuracy (reliability) of results
  • 2+ years, hands-on use of database querying tools, languages and analytical platforms supporting relational database marketing; such as SQL, PSQL or SAS
  • Ability analyze raw data files; from reading in the data received from the customer, rolling it up, analyzing the results
  • 2+ years, hands-on use of Web analytic tools (eg. Omniture, Coremetrics, etc.)
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, Vlookups, advanced functions) and other Microsoft products; Access, PowerPoint, Word
  • Knowledge and use of ESP (eg, ExactTarget, Cheetah Mail, etc.) and CRM  (eg, Unica, Aprimo, etc.) platforms and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of Social media platforms and reporting and customer/user data integration (Facebook, Twitter)
  • Knowledge of BI and Data visualization tools (eg, Cognos, Business Objects, Tableau etc.)
  • Tabulation and analysis of primary research data (online surveys, polls) a plus
  • Creative thinking and analytical skills coupled with solid business foundation, particularly in 1:1 marketing
  • Intellectually curious, interested in “figuring out” solutions to problems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment
  • Demonstrated time management and project management skills
  • Retail, QSR and or Automotive industry background a plus
