Job Description

Magnolia Rehabilitation Services, LLC is currently seeking F/T COTA's to join our team at Northampton Manor Health Care Center, located in Frederick, Maryland! Bring your geriatric skills and make a difference in the lives of others.  Work under the direction of occupational therapists in nursing facility. Give aid in the provision of rehabilitative services for people suffering from mental, physical, emotional or developmental impairments.  Monitor patients’ activities, record progress and document billing. This position is full-time and the core hours for this role are 8:30am-5pm. The COTA will report directly to the facility Program Manager.

Qualifications

Current Maryland professional license, CPR

Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.

Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.

Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations.

Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Superintendent policies and building and department procedures.

Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.

Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.

 

Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals.

Operating knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as telephones, copier, fax machine, E-mail, etc.

Operating knowledge of therapy equipment preferred at hire.
