Job Description

The Inventory Control Specialist will be maintaining compliance and operations. This position requires inventory control experience; including all concepts, best practices, and procedures. Additionally, this position requires someone who is able to triage priority while dealing with various projects. Lastly, this position will offer operational support to unforeseen tasks and projects that may arise.

Key Daily Responsibilities:

  • Validate, review, and approve all inventory movement/adjustments:
    • Coordinate, supervise, and monitor cycle counts of inventory goods in the warehouse/retail store locations by reconciling inventory variances
    • Conduct regular inventory analysis solving discrepancies and inventory problems
    • Review all inventory transfers, returns, and receivings to ensure accuracy of inventory
  • Daily interaction as a liaison to Warehouse/Logistics/Retail Operations and Cost Accounting team
  • Partner with Cost Accounting team, Logistics, Warehouse partners, Sales, Production, Retail Operations, and Store Teams to achieve and maintain accurate inventories at all retail locations and warehouse
  • Create weekly and monthly reports for Cost Accounting department which detail: shrinkage, warehouse KPI’s and metrics, and retail store performance/compliance

Other Tasks & Duties:

  • Develop, document, and implement inventory control procedures:
    • Continually evaluate internal processes (both financial and operational impacts)
    • Conduct studies and develop solutions for improving accounting/operations processes
  • Comprehensive interpersonal skills to create the bridges of global communication
  • Excellence in ability to lead inventory stakeholders, while being ready to take direction from upper management
  • Close out deliverables in a timely manner



  • Bachelor’s Degree minimum
  • 2-4 years of Inventory Controls experience with enhanced understanding of DC processes, practices, and procedures
  • Accounting knowledge and understanding
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Must possess WMS experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • A motivated and positive attitude
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized



  • Degree in Accounting or other quantitative field
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX knowledge
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven leadership skills and experience at a high volume, fast-paced distribution warehouse and retail industry
