Job Description

The role will be involved in FP&A process for three main areas; Head Quarter (HQ) Operating Expenses [HR, IT, Facilities, Executive, Legal, Finance], Marketing & PR as well as transversal and global responsibilities dealing with Capital Expenditure Business Cycle (CAPEX), large scale projects and staff costs.  The ideal candidate will have a high aptitude for forecasting, reporting & controlling as well as driving process improvements and efficiencies.  

 

Within the area of FP&A for HQ Operating Expenses, the role will:

  • Highly involved in the financial planning, analysis and reporting for these cost centers
  • Assists in the reporting and presentation of budgets for these cost centers for each budget cycle
  • Play a lead role in the month-end closing process; collaborating with the accounting department and the department heads in order to ensure completeness and accuracy of the monthly results
  • Identify and propose process improvements and key initiatives to drive efficiencies in these cost centers
  • Supervise the entire financial life cycle for large scale projects like Fashion Shows and Print Advertising Plans

The role will also be responsible for the supervision of the CAPEX Business Cycle and staff costs for the consolidated company.  This will include:

  • Monitor global CAPEX policy and procedures across multiple divisions/international business units
  • Coordinate with international subsidiaries the consolidation & reporting of the CAPEX Business cycle to the Parent Company at the Group level
  • Forecast of HQ depreciation related to CAPEX business cycle
  • Supervision of the entire financial life cycle for large capital projects
  • Collaborate with HR department in forecasting payroll and staff costs as well as head count assumptions
  • Monthly reporting of budget vs actual for staff costs and head count

 

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Key user of the project accounting module in the Finance/Accounting Application
  • The role will also be involved with the consolidation and reporting of total company budgets as well as ADHOC consolidated reporting during budget cycles
  • Assist in the scoping, design and implementation of new global financial reporting and budgeting tools

Qualifications

  • Bachelor, MBA preferred
  • 5 + years of experience
  • Big 4/Public Accounting experience appreciated, but not mandatory
  • Experience in:
    • Luxury goods/fashion industry
    • Administrative cost centers and their cost structures
    • Budget consolidations/roll up
    • International companies with foreign subsidiaries
    • Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 (appreciated but not mandatory)
    • Microsoft Dynamics Management Reporter (appreciated but not mandatory)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Advanced Excel Skills (Excel Modeling experience appreciated)
  • Ability to:
