The Director of Nursing’s primary role will be to manage and support the clinical care sites with the assistance of the Chief Nursing Officer.  The Director of Nursing will be responsible for supervising the nursing care and ensuring consistencies in the standard of practice across cinical settings.  In addition, the Director of Nurisng will provide Quality Management/Quality Improvement, Risk Management, and Utilization Review as needed.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience – Requires BSN degree (MSN and/or MPH preferred) and must be licensed to practice nursing in the District of Columbia and Maryland. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in nursing, clinical, and operational leadership, and solidly demonstrated corporate management skills.  Must have clinical management knowledge, data analysis, and good writing skills. Advanced skills in MS Excel and excellent presentation skills are essential. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex, multi-step instructions.

Physical Demands – Regularly required to sit; frequently required to reach with hands and arms; required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear; must be able to lift objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds

Work Environment – Mostly in a typical clinical office setting with quiet to moderate noise level
