Job Description

eporting to the US Finance Director, this role, requires a technically strong, analytical, and ambitious individual. They will provide the front line support in managing the daily finance and office management function. For the right candidate there are fantastic progression prospects within the finance team, for those looking to pursue a career in accounting this is an excellent opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Key Focus:

  • Provide support to US Finance Director
  • Cashbook

o Daily banking

o Credit card reconciliation

  • Sales Ledger

o Timely and accurate production of sales invoices

Credit control

o Maintain cash collections to business terms

o Maintain strong trading relationships with each client, communicating regularly in the most appropriate manner

  • Purchase Ledger

o Timely and accurate production of purchase invoices and expenses

o Ensure all expenditure is authorised and correct

o Co-ordinate timely payment runs in accordance with monthly accounting cycle

o Manage supplier relationships

  • Assist in a number of process improvement activities
  • Office Management

o Assisting in office management tasks

  • Payroll

o Maintain employee records

o Prepare bi-monthly payroll

Profit focus:

  • Identifying operational inefficiencies to drive profitability improvements. 

General Management:

  • Manage the local accounting ledgers (accounts receivable, accounts payable) as well as local payroll and expense process
  • Process monthly and quarterly bonus and commission payments
  • Adhere to controls as defined by the Group and local laws/practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field
  • Associates Degree with relevant experience considered
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience within a finance office environment desired but not essential
  • Strong technical accounting ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hands-on approach with internal teams
  • Ambition to grow with the company
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Can-do, positive attitude is essential
