Job Description

Position title: Consultant - Retail

Location: Düsseldorf, Germany


As a Consultant you will be responsible for translating a customer’s online business goals and requirements into an Optimisation Roadmap plan and deliver results and insight against this Roadmap back to Customers on a regular basis. You will help customers to achieve their stated Optimisation goals including increasing overall online revenue, increasing average order value and conversion rates, increasing registrations and increasing content viewing and consumption. You will leverage a range of analysis, testing and optimisation techniques to help achieve a customer’s online business goals.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Understand a client’s online business model, creating a set of objectives for testing and personalisation to ultimately help the client increase revenues.
  • Prioritise these suggested content changes by managing a constantly evolving project plan, working closely with the Digital Project Managers and Technical Services teams to ensure a smooth delivery throughout.
  • Guide and control conversion on a client’s site, bringing sensitivity to suggested amendments, being aware of the influence these changes can have on the whole of the website.
  • Set up the reporting framework, establishing key metrics for evaluation and reporting them on a regular basis.
  • Analyse all the completed tests, providing the client with clear business insight and actionable recommendations, helping them put this information to use in a pragmatic, constructive way.

Qualifications

  • A degree level qualification or equivalent
  • In-depth experience of PowerPoint and Excel to ensure high quality test specifications are produced.
  • Proven experience in a problem solving and/or analytical role, ideally from within the the digital industry, specialising in retail- whether client or vendor side.
  • Previous commercial background to include at least 2 of the following: online testing, website optimisation, web analytics, data analysis, customer usability, CRM or data driven online marketing.
  • Some knowledge of basic statistical principles or online usability approaches is ideal.
  • A natural, consultative style is essential to build client relationships and meet the evolving demands of website optimisation.
  • Strong communication skills required to present at a CMO/senior marketing level, discussing strategic marketing objectives and delivering solutions across a wide array of products.
  • Fluency in German and English
