Job Description
Position title: Sales Engineer
Location: New York City
As Maxymiser continues to expand, an opportunity has arisen for a Sales Engineer to join our New York office. You will be required to support new client acquisition, managing and providing comprehensive pre-sales technical support to the sales team. In addition to this you will support the development of existing key accounts. The ideal candidate will provide pre-sales technical support to the commercial Account Director and Sales Directors across a specified region to secure new business and upsells by ensuring that key decision makers and technical owners within our customer, agency and prospect base have a thorough understanding of Maxymiser’s optimization platform and entire product suite.
Responsibilities:
Develop communication around the capabilities of our product suite aimed at the following (noting that communication may be different for each):
C- Level (CEO, CMO)
D-Level (Marketing Director, Ecommerce Director)
M-Level (Marketing Manager)
Provide consultative insight into the application of Maxymiser’s product suite
Develop sales engagement strategy in conjunction with Sales Director and Account Director, generally following the methodology of the Miller Heiman Blue Sheet process or similar
Develop a slide deck that evangelizes the following products/features:
OneTouch: Integration, initial deployment and on-going process – versus the alternatives
Illustrate clearly how each of Maxymiser’s solutions technical works
MaxTEST; MaxSEGMENT; MaxRECOMMEND; MaxPREDICT: Typical engagement, and typical roadmap
Illustrate the total cost of ownership of Maxymiser versus the alternativs
Illustrate the typical client lifecycle and how to practically achieve a graduation from MVT into the personalization suite that will yield quick and tangible results
Clearly illustrate the expertise of Maxymiser’s support teams (Account Managers and Consultants in the US and the Technical Services team in the Ukraine) to illustrate what is required for World Class delivery. Bring Client Service Consultants into the sales process at the appropriate time to reinforce the value that clients receive from our managed services.
Evangelize new product launched within the sales organisation
Manage the production of responses to RFPs and RFIs
Responsible for providing technical feedback from the market to Product Marketing regarding product functionality and market/customer demands.
Liaison with Product Managers and Development to understand the product roadmap and communicate to sales organisation
Qualifications
Requirements:
Minimum 2-5 years of outstanding performance in quota driven environments supporting direct sales to online marketing departments
Relevant technical pre-sales experience in eBusiness, CRM, Web Analytics, CMS and/or AB and Multivariate testing
Experience of carrying a personal annual target and demonstrating success in a team environment associated with supporting sales function in securing new and upsell revenues across a technically advanced product suite
Outstanding communication, presentation and negotiation skills (verbal and written)
Able to maintain a high level of productivity and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative and team oriented environment
A thorough understanding of web technologies, particularly HTML, CSS and Javascript to facilitate working alongside developers and tech teams. Actual coding experience preferred
Whilst not essential, it would be an advantage to have completed and operated under methodologies such as the gold and blue sheet Miller Heiman process for Strategic Account Management
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred
Fluency in English
