Job Description

Position title: General Manager

Location: Warsaw, Poland

 

As Maxymiser continues to expand, an opportunity has a risen for a General Manager to supervise the Global Technical Services (GTS) production operations, dealing with team management and human relations. In addition to this the successful candidate will be required to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Warsaw office, including the management of; operating budgets and third party supplier relationships; and office administration staff, including day to day operations (payroll, travel, procurement, staff benefits etc.).

 

Responsibilities:

 

Team Management & Operations

 

  • Lead and mentor the operational GTS teams (responsible for delivering campaign development and quality control to Client Services)

  • Direct line management of GTS Team Leaders

  • Oversee the campaign production process, monitor performance reports, ensure procedures are adhered to

  • Stakeholder management of Maxymiser Principal Consultants

Human Relations

 

  • Advise the Exec team on best practice operation in Poland

  • Manage HR escalation for GTS teams

  • Performance improvement planning and disciplinary action

  • Design, implement and monitor office policies

  • Manage employee benefits scheme

Supplier & Budget Management

  • Schedule, monitor, control and report on all direct costs for the Warsaw office (a Maxymiser cost centre)

  • Manage all relationships and interactions with third parties supplying goods or services to Maxymiser

    • Premises

    • Tech Support (outsourced)

    • Legal counsel (outsourced)

    • Payroll (outsourced)

 

Office Management

 

  • Planning for growth, layout, systems, equipment, recruitment

  • Reception, office supplies, administration and record keeping

  • Staff social events

  • Staff travel

 

Marketing

 

  • Build a positive image of Maxymiser in the Polish market

Qualifications

Requirements:

 

  • Proven team leader with 5+ years’ experience managing a large team, 25+ heads

  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

  • Excellent communicator, spoken and written languages:

    • Polish (compulsory)

    • English (compulsory)

    • Russian (advantageous)

  • Ability to manage operations and suppliers to budget

  • Office planning and operations

  • Knowledge of Human Resources

    • Personnel management

    • Supervision & delegation

    • Interpersonal skills

    • Issue resolution
