Job Description
Position title: Business Development Representative
Location: New York, NY
The BDR position is lead generating role, working with an outside sales representative in your own territory. The right person will be making 50-70 dials a day, utilizing email and tools like LinkedIn, and twitter to advance opportunities with prospects.
Responsibilities:
Initiating telephone and email contact with potential prospects from outbound and inbound leads
Make contact and Qualifying leads with the goal of setting up appointments
Provide an accurate synopsis of prospects needs and set up call for outside sales rep
Use all available means to perform effective research in the initial development of potential customers
Consistently meet qualified lead totals on a monthly basis
Calling on C-level marketing and IT executives
Trade show attendance, webinar and event follow-up
Daily usage of Salesforce to manage time and track progress of lead generation
Generate leads and opportunities (through cold and warm campaigns into prospective clients)
Pipeline management
Qualifications
Requirements:
Experience of successful B2B quota carrying sales (technology preferred) in an early sales cycle stage
Proven ability in penetrating small and large corporations to find decision makers through cold-calling and email.
A self-starter with the ability to achieve goals & objectives
Excellent oral and written communication skills
