Job Description

We are currently recruiting an Analyst with strong programming skills to bring our Middle Office team to the next level. The Risk Analyst will work closely with our Energy traders, participating to daily trading decisions. The Analyst will be our Front Office’s expert and the main liaison with the Back Office, participating in the automation of our operational trading process.

Key accountabilities

  • Develop new risk tools/metrics to help optimize risk & capital allocation
  • Analyze and Monitor Daily P&L
  • Be the Front Office specialist for Back Office / Accounting investigations
  • Actively participate in the development and oversight of automated operational processes (SQL)
  • Mastering/Improving our internal Risk Infrastructure (Python/SQL)
  • Execute and Manage Treasury Operations 
  • Act as a point of contact with our Counterparties
  • Develop an understanding of Financial and Physical Energy Markets and build relationship with traders and portfolio managers
  • Provide expert support in quantitative analysis related to new trading opportunities (e.g. backtesting, stress testing, sensitivity analysis).
  • Participate in the ISO Stakeholder processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • Hold a professional title (CFA, FRM, CPA, PRM, CAIA) (nice to have)
  • Excellent quantitative and data analysis skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight timelines
  • Strong technology and coding skills, (e.g. Python, SQL, VBA)
  • Sound knowledge of financial risk management concepts and techniques
  • Experience in Middle, Back Office or Risk Management role (nice to have)
  • Knowledge of Energy Markets (nice to have)
