 We are an established business with high growth potential that specializes in sourcing and selling distinctive Tropical wood and veneer. Our broad range of clients include specialty retailers, wholesalers, millwork/woodworking manufacturers and architects.

 We are looking for a Mississauga-based sales representative that knows how to sell and who can grow in the role - someone who knows how to fully leverage every sales tool at their disposal (from the phone pitch to social media) We want someone who will roll up their sleeves and hone that instinct and touch that is key to being successful in the specialty wood industry.

Job Description

  • Provide outstanding customer service to a diversity of clients (that means being someone that is easy to do business with);
  • Find new clients, cold call, hunt for new opportunities;
  • Maintain and grow existing relationships;
  • Receive products at the warehouse and prepare products for dispatch (that means jumping on the forklift and getting the odd splinter!);
  • Photograph products and diligently maintain our inventory catalogue;  
  • Leverage social media, deploy targeted marketing and create a buzz around our products;
  • Meet agreed targets and goals.

Qualifications

  • A real passion for wood;
  • Proven interest in sales and customer service;
  • Demonstrated record of success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable environment;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Facility using social media (Essential), experience driving sales via social media (Asset)
  • Previous experience in a lumber yard, woodworking, carpentry, cabinetry (Asset);
  • Experience using CRM and database software (Asset);
  • English (Essential), French (Asset)
  • Willingness to travel.
